They help to build local economic resilience, strengthening skills and knowledge at the local level, and creating employment. They seek to maintain wellbeing and thereby safeguard resources for meeting needs that cannot be avoided. They invest in ways of working that are designed to achieve at least two positive outcomes for the price of one.<\/p>\n<p>Together, they suggest how public bodies can create real value for people over time, instead of ruthlessly pursuing the shortsighted goals of bigger-is-better and more-for-less. Nef has developed models for procurement and commissioning that support this different approach. These models acknowledge the importance of spending public money in ways that deliver social, environmental and economic benefits, assessing performance according to this \u00ab\u00a0triple bottom line\u00a0\u00bb. [cit\u00e9 par Kevin Harris, dans\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/neighbourhoods.typepad.com\/neighbourhoods\/2008\/10\/involving-local-people-in-delivering-local-services.html\">neighbourhoods<\/a>]<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Sur le coup \u00e7a m&rsquo;a fait penser \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9conomie sociale, et justement je recevais aujourd&rsquo;hui du Chantier <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chantier.qc.ca\/userImgs\/documents\/CLevesque\/sitechantierdocuments\/bulletinspecial4nov2008.pdf\">leur dernier bulletin<\/a> portant essentiellement sur le Plan d&rsquo;action qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois sur l&rsquo;\u00e9conomie sociale : <a href=\"https:\/\/www.economie.gouv.qc.ca\/fileadmin\/contenu\/publications\/administratives\/economie_sociale\/plan_action_entrepreneuriat_collectif.pdf\">Pour des communaut\u00e9s plus solidaires<\/a> .\u00a0 Incidemment, je suis tomb\u00e9 sur le site <a href=\"http:\/\/economiesocialequebec.ca\/\">\u00c9conomie sociale Qu\u00e9bec<\/a>, lanc\u00e9 au mois d&rsquo;octobre, o\u00f9 trouver des informations sur les diff\u00e9rents secteurs et un r\u00e9pertoire des <a href=\"http:\/\/economiesocialequebec.ca\/?module=directory&amp;action=getDirList&amp;division=0\">4684 entreprises<\/a> ! (\u00e0 ce jour) dans le domaine&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Ce plan d&rsquo;action de cinq ans est une reconnaissance importante de l&rsquo;\u00e9conomie sociale, de son histoire, tel que soulign\u00e9 avec force dans le bulletin du Chantier par toutes les organisations importantes du secteur. Un coup de chapeau lanc\u00e9 \u00e0 la veille du d\u00e9clanchement de la campagne provinciale&#8230; c&rsquo;est mieux que pendant ! et \u00e7a le m\u00e9ritait. Pour revenir \u00e0 l&rsquo;article du Guardian, je me demande s&rsquo;il n&rsquo;y a pas l\u00e0 une \u00ab\u00a0philosophie\u00a0\u00bb du d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomique-social-environnemental qui ne pourrait pas \u00eatre reprise, servir \u00e0 orienter non seulement le d\u00e9veloppement d&rsquo;un secteur particulier de l&rsquo;\u00e9conomie (l&rsquo;\u00e9conomie sociale) mais bien l&rsquo;action des autres aussi, en particulier le secteur public dans ses interventions locales et r\u00e9gionales.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How council spending can be used to provide extra benefits for local communities | Society | The Guardian They target spending so that public money circulates locally for longer.
