On February 5th, 2002, I started to experiment with Blogger for an article<\/a> I was writing about blogs. I wrote a shy, tentative post<\/a>, unsure if I was going to pursue the activity. I got my first welcoming comment from a friendly French expat<\/a> in Montreal who turned out to be my next door neighbor. A month later, I went to my first Yulblog meeting<\/a> and, well, the rest is history<\/a> (at least to me). [ni.vu.ni.connu<\/a>]<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

C’est dr\u00f4le que Martine <\/strong>ait commenc\u00e9 son blogue presque en m\u00eame temps que moi :\u00a0 mon premier billet date du 9 f\u00e9vrier<\/a> alors que j’avais l’impression qu’elle avait une bonne longueur d’avance quand je l’ai d\u00e9couverte. Faut dire qu’elle avait une accroche efficace avec son oeil coquin… (on peut encore voir une version anim\u00e9e de cette signature visuelle en bas de la colonne de droite du blogue de Blork<\/a>)… ce qui ne nuit pas pour d\u00e9velopper un lectorat. Mais non, c’est injuste, c’est d’abord la qualit\u00e9 de ses billets, qui savaient soulever l’int\u00e9r\u00eat et animer la discussion chez les lecteurs. Michel<\/a> aussi s’\u00e9tait mis au blogue dans ce temps…<\/p>\n

Un de ceux qui y \u00e9tait depuis un certain temps… c’est Sylvain<\/a>. Qui a bien su me d\u00e9panner \u00e0 l’\u00e9poque alors que je pateaugeais dans l’installation de mon blogue sous Radio<\/a>. Mais c’est vraiment la camaraderie et l’esprit de g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 qui marquait cette petite communaut\u00e9 \u00e9mergeante qui m’a tout de suite frapp\u00e9. Il y avait un sens de la mission sociale, des \u00ab\u00a0restes\u00a0\u00bb (?) de la vision g\u00e9n\u00e9reuse des d\u00e9buts d’Internet comme une r\u00e9volution d\u00e9mocratique, comme un m\u00e9dium diff\u00e9rent. Des promesses qui n’ont pas encore toutes \u00e9t\u00e9 livr\u00e9es, mais un potentiel qui reste encore attrayant m\u00eame si le ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne est de moins en moins marginal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
