The comments, he wrote, had been &lsquo;a source of both fun and frustration,&rsquo; but as his blog became more popular, keeping up with the comments had become a time-sink: &lsquo;To put it simply, this blog is a hobby &#8230; I just don&rsquo;t have the time to police comments and enforce good behavior,&#8230;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/feeds.feedburner.com\/~r\/roughtype\/unGc\/~4\/181983876\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/>\u00ab\u00a0(Via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.roughtype.com\/\">Rough Type: Nicholas Carr&rsquo;s Blog<\/a>.)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>L&rsquo;argumentaire de Carr: si vous avez le talent de faire de la recherche de haut niveau, ne perdez pas votre temps \u00e0 bloguer&#8230; tout le monde y perdrait. Une r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 la critique que je formulai souventes fois en regard du peu d&rsquo;ouverture ou de disponibilit\u00e9s de certains pros d&rsquo;universit\u00e9s qui restaient, \u00e0 mon avis, trop enferm\u00e9s dans leurs tours d&rsquo;ivoire alors que l&rsquo;Internet et les blogs permettent une communication large. Je pensais que les profs \u00e9vitaient de bloguer pour \u00e9viter de se compromettre dans des \u00e9crits spontann\u00e9s. Ce qui n&rsquo;est pas contradictoire avec l&rsquo;analyse de Carr.<\/p>\n<p>Finalement peut-\u00eatre que la \u00ab\u00a0tour d&rsquo;ivoire\u00a0\u00bb ou vu d&rsquo;un autre angle, le puits de savoir, et la distance que ces images impliquent d&rsquo;avec le discours de tout les jours, sont-ils n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 l&rsquo;avancement de \u00ab\u00a0la science\u00a0\u00bb. Et qu&rsquo;il revient aux blogueurs et autres commentateurs de critiquer, faire conna\u00eetre, encenser les fruits tomb\u00e9s de l&rsquo;arbre de la connaissance&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>S\u00fbr qu&rsquo;on peut toujours souhaiter, r\u00eaver d&rsquo;une r\u00e9duction de la distance entre le \u00abhaut savoir\u00bb et la culture populaire&#8230; mais ce rapprochement devrait d&rsquo;abord r\u00e9sulter d&rsquo;un rehaussement de la culture scientifique g\u00e9n\u00e9rale. Le m\u00eame Nicolas Carr a un commentaire convergent (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.strategy-business.com\/press\/enewsarticle\/enews053107\">The Ignorance of Crowds<\/a>) \u00e0 propos du succ\u00e8s de certaines entreprises collectives dites \u00ab\u00a0ouvertes\u00a0\u00bb tel le d\u00e9veloppement  de Linux : le succ\u00e8s de telles entreprises repose au moins autant sur l&rsquo;\u00e9tablissement d&rsquo;une direction forte, cr\u00e9dible, \u00e9clair\u00e9e (la cath\u00e9drale) que sur la dynamique de l&rsquo;action collective (le bazar).<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The open source model of production &#8211; when it works effectively &#8211; is not as egalitarian or democratic as it is often made out to be.
